Meet our staff and read our clients' success stories in our newsletter.

We welcome Vicky Samways to our team at Optimum Performance. She is heading up our Aldershot clinic to great effect in the Aldershot Garrison Sport Centre. Vicky obtained a Sports Therapy degree in 2012 from University of the West of England and is currently completing her Master in Sports Rehabilitation from St. Mary's Twickenham. Vicky can offer a wide range of services including injury diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation, soft tissue massage, kinesiology taping and acupuncture.

We welcome back Jen Thraves following her ankle injury. Jen graduated as Sports Therapist from University College Birmingham in 2010. Since then she has worked with a variety of sports teams including a professional ice hockey team in Canada. Jen works in both our Camberley and Aldershot clinics to diagnose, treat and rehabilitate injuries, including sports massage and taping.

Marathon Training

It is now less than 5 weeks till the London marathon so keeping in tip top shape is key – check out our blog for some advice on how to recover after a big run and tips to avoid injury. We wish you all the best and if you need any help or advice just let us know.

Clubs and Teams

Optimum Performance work with a number of local sports clubs and teams – if your team would like the benefit of our expertise give us a call or send us a message.

We have been following Camberley Rugby Club with a keen eye this season, not just because of their amazing form; they and are currently sitting top of the Surrey 1 league, but another new member of the Optimum performance team James Steer has been providing sports rehabilitation support for their athletes.

Another one of our affiliates Camberley Town Football club are also at the top of the Combined Counties Premier League with just 6 league games left to play.

Sadly Aldershot Town FC's form has not been as successful. In their last game Brett Williams' fine finish briefly threatened to halt Bristol Rovers' return to the top of the Vanrama Conference but a battered and bruised Shots team eventually fell to a second consecutive defeat.

It won't be long till the cricket season kicks off so we hope the pre-season training is going well for everyone at Camberley Cricket Club.

Success Stories

Congratulations to Paul Gaylor on his recent Camberley Parkrun win, following his return from injury.

Congratulations to Emma Barnes on her Surrey half marathon run as part of her marathon training.

We would love to hear your success stories, whether they are competitive, individual or just your story of recovery.
