Tennis elbow is a painful condition which causes pain on the outside of the elbow.

Most tennis elbow sufferers feel pain during lifting or bending their arm, writing, twisting the forearm or even upon fully extending their forearm.  As we use our dominant arm for the majority of tasks this is the most common arm to be affected.

Tennis elbow is usually caused by an injury, or several tiny injuries to one or more of the tendons that attach the forearm muscles to the bone to your elbow.  The most common injuries are caused by repeated overuse of the forearm muscles such as manual work, decorating, gardening, typing or, as the same suggests, playing tennis or other racket sports.

At Optimum Performance we have successfully treated many clients suffering with tennis elbow using Shockwave Therapy.  Shockwave Therapy delivers repeated shocks to the affected area activating the body's natural healing process.
